Sound Bath Healing

A Journey Through Vibration and Energy

A sound bath healing session is a deeply restorative meditative experience that uses healing sound and vibration to relax the body, calm the mind, and restore inner balance. Unlike traditional meditation, there’s nothing you need to do — simply lie down, breathe, and allow the soothing sounds to guide you into a state of deep rest.

A Brief History of Sound Baths

Sound healing has been practiced for thousands of years in cultures around the world, from Tibetan monks using singing bowls in sacred ceremonies to indigenous peoples using drums and chimes for ritual and meditation. These traditions recognised that sound and vibration have the power to influence the mind, body, and spirit, creating harmony and supporting physical and emotional wellbeing. Today, sound bath healing combines these ancient techniques with modern understanding of wellness to offer a profoundly restorative experience.

Sound Bath Healing

During this sound bath meditation, the resonant frequencies of Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, drums, and gongs, combined with gentle chanting and breathwork, work to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, your body’s natural “rest and reset” mode. This helps reduce stress, lower heart rate, and ease tension, promoting deep relaxation at a physical, mental, and emotional level.

The vibrations from the instruments also gently stimulate and balance your chakras, releasing energetic blockages and restoring harmony throughout your body. Each sound wave interacts with the subtle energy centers, supporting emotional release, mental clarity, and a sense of inner alignment.

Sound bath healing has been shown to support stress relief, improved sleep, emotional wellbeing, and deep relaxation. Many participants describe feeling lighter, more grounded, and more connected to their inner rhythm — similar to the effects of deep meditation or yoga nidra.

This 75 minute sound healing session at Soorya Wellness offers a holistic way to unwind, reset, and reconnect with your natural energy, making it suitable for everyone, whether you are new to meditation or an experienced practitioner seeking deeper calm.

Note: Not recommended for those with sound-induced epilepsy or in the first trimester of pregnancy.
